Atlanterhavsvegen

Fv. 64 Eide, Averøy, Møre og Romsdal, Norway. 8 km

Atlanterhavsvegen is on the edge of the North Sea and connects to the mainland Averøy with 7 low bridges over the islands Strømsholmen, Skarvøy, Myrbærholmen, Lyngholmen, Eldhusøya, Storlauvøya and Litllauvøya. The road is 8 km long, connecting Molde and Kristiansund.

This is a road quite out of the ordinary and is an experience both when the sun is shining from a cloudless sky, but especially when the north west winds force the sea over the small islands.

Coming from Kristiansund you ferry over to Bremnes on Averøy and ride road 64 towards Molde. Atlanterhavsvegen is always worth a detour, and if you aren’t in a hurry, take the detour to Bud as well.
