Norway, Bjoerkeflaata – Tinnsjoe, 242 km, 1175 m.a.s.l.

Kongsberg is the perfect starting point for a variation of motorcycle trips. One of my favourites is this trip up the Numedal valley to Bjoerkeflaata, over Imingfjell, to Tessungdal valley, south to Tinnsjoe and back to Kongsberg via Ormemyr and Bolkesjoe.

The roads in Numedal valley have good and entertaining roads. The road over Imingfjell takes you past Soenstevann and to 1175 meters above sea level. The road through Tessungdal to Austbygde is a little bumpy and not perfect for supersport bikes.

In Austbygde you have several choices when it comes to directions. You can ride around Tinnsjoe to Notodden or return to Kongsberg, or you can ride to Rjukan and also take the road by Gaustatoppen to Tuddal and to Sauland on road E134.

We took the road on the east side of Tinnsjoe and returned to Kongsberg via Ormemyr and Bolkesjoe.
